Viraj Sheth, a 26-year-old media entrepreneur, has been turning heads with his remarkable
stints in the digital content industry. Be it acing the influencer marketing space, curating
innovative digital campaigns across platforms like Instagram, YouTube or transforming the
traditional methods of the talent management industry, he has proved his mettle as a digital
entrepreneur by establishing Monk Entertainment, his brainchild, as a leading media enterprise
for all things digital. But before Monk-E took shape, there’s a lot to his picture that meets the
eye.

Born and brought up in Mumbai, Viraj hails from a traditional Gujarati family with little to no
background in an industry where he is now considered a forerunner. He also has a degree in
Electronics Engineering from Dwarkadas J. Sanghvi College of Engineering, where he met
Ranveer Allahbadia, another leading man in the Indian YouTube scenario who further went on to
be the Co-Founder of Monk Entertainment. While still in college, Viraj believed in the “real
learning happens outside the classroom” philosophy by experimenting with internships across
content, copywriting and digital, before joining hands with Ranveer. With the latter’s YouTube
channel, BeerBiceps still in the initial stages, Viraj soon started managing the business and
campaigns while in his final semester of college.

Soon after his graduation, Viraj envisioned the potential of the digital creator ecosystem in India
and founded Monk Entertainment with Ranveer Allahbadia in January 2018. Ever since its
inception, Monk-E has seen Viraj as the dynamic leader who has been successful in
innovatively shaping the digital content industry. Since its inception in a garage with a team of
just 3 people, the company has grown 10 fold with over 50 employees under his leadership at
such a young age.

With a talent pool of over 100+ creators reaching millions of viewers including prominent
creators like Be YouNick, BeerBiceps, Niharika NM, Abhi and Niyu, Ruhee Dosani, Sanjyot Keer
etc. Monk-E has now expanded into multiple genres like music, comedy, fashion, beauty, and
lifestyle blogging under his leadership. He has also been able to secure eminent collaborations
for his talents with the likes of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Priyanka Chopra, Manchester City,
Mumbai Indians, NBA India, Alia Bhatt, Gillette, MakeMyTrip, Flipkart, etc. Owing to his
entrepreneurial capabilities, the media tycoon also has a tremendous following of over
100,000 on Twitter and 90,000 on Instagram. He has also been invited to distinguished
panels for platforms like Social Samosa, India Film Project, Vishwaprenuer 20, Xavier Institute
of Communications, Mumbai for his takes on the digital industry.
