As one of the pioneers of the storytelling revolution unleashed by streaming in India, Nikhil has led the creation of an array of fan-favourite series and movies. This includes expanding the scope and scale of franchises like Paatal Lok, Mirzapur, Farzi, The Family Man, and Suzhal – The Vortex, as well as building new hits like Raakh, Adarsh Baal Vidyalaya, Call Me Bae, Khauf, Dupahiya, Matka King, and Daldal. Nikhil has also doubled down on the slate of Prime Video India’s unscripted Originals with pop-culture defining hits like Alliance & The Traitors amongst others. This is in addition to creating a wide repertoire of Original movies including the award-winning The Mehta Boys, Subedaar, Cheekatilo, Babita Singh Reporting, and Mirzapur The Movie to name a few. He is leading Amazon MGM Studios’ theatrical slate with the globally-acclaimed Superboys of Malegaon and upcoming movies like, VIBE & Nayyi Naveli.
In a career spanning over 20 years, Nikhil has established himself as an influential name in the media landscape of the country. His deep interest in creating rooted and authentic stories has earlier seen him leading content development for Disney+ Hotstar in India and Warner Brothers Discovery in Asia-Pacific.
