In a career spanning 25 years, Namit has worn many hats in the world of media and entertainment. He began his career as a journalist and freelance TV writer/Producer. Key milestones in his career have been his stints as Sr. Executive Producer at Sony Entertainment Television, as Creative Director at Cinevistaas – a leading production house for TV content, as Executive Producer at one of India’s Leading Film Studios – Yash Raj Films, as Business Head and Chief Creative Director at Wizcraft Television and As Programing Head at Zee TV.
His skill sets include content selection, creation, and management, project execution, writing, producing, and directing.
At Reliance Entertainment, Namit has produced a number of shows for Digital as well as Broadcast Networks like “Yo Ke Hua Bro” (Voot), “Kaushiki” (VOOT), & Sumer Singh Case Dairies (VOOT), Black Widows (Zee5) as well as non-fiction series like “India’s Best Jobs” (Discovery India), Dream On (Hotstar) & Teacher’s Genuine Sorties (Times Network). Early this year he has launched Dreamers & Doers Co. a premium content studio along with Reliance Entertainment. The first offering from the studio was Masoom on Disney+Hotstar. Starring Boman Irani along with a host of talented actors, the series was created by Gurmmeet Singh and directed by Mihir Desai. It has been one of the most well received series of the year and has also made it to the list of TOP 10 most viewed Hindi original series in a half yearly report by Ormax Media. Dreamers & Doers Co. is slated to release a string of high profile series with top showrunners and directors over the next few years.
