Manish Batavia’s television career started as a contestant on
‘Dream Job – Harsha Ki Khoj’ a talent hunt on ESPN STAR in 2004/05 where he finished in the Top 6 from over 45000 contestants across India. In an on-screen career spanning over half a decade, Manish has worked on the biggest sports properties in the world. After a combined 8-yr stint behind-the-scenes as Producer at ESPN STAR and Executive Producer at Sony MAX, Manish became one of the faces of STAR Sports in 2013. Since then he has anchored LIVE wraparound shows for marquee properties such as the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015, England v India Test Series 2014, Asia Cup 2014, ICC World T20 2014, Pro Kabaddi, Kabaddi World Cup on STAR Sports, Pepsi IPL 2015 on Hotstar and Formula E, UEFA Champions League, Europa League, Asian Games and NBA Hindi on SONY TEN Sports. Over the years, he has anchored shows with the biggest names in cricket as his guests, namely, Rahul Dravid, Sourav Ganguly, Sunil Gavaskar, Kapil Dev, VVS Laxman, Wasim Akram, Harsha Bhogle, Shoaib Akhtar, Sanjay Manjrekar, Aakash Chopra and many more! He has also had a year- long stint as Radio Jockey on ISHQ 104.8 FM – India’s first love songs station. Since 2017, he has also been hosting Bollywood/OTT entertainment content on 9XM the music channel and their digital wing SpotboyE. His irreverence and happy vibe have also come in handy while doing movie integrations on his sports shows; comfortably striking fun conversations with the likes of Ranveer Singh, Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Kangana Ranaut, etc. Manish is equally adept at anchoring LIVE and recorded content in English and Hindi making him the go-to guy to for any top-class sports OR entertainment broadcast.
